A few metres walk will take you to 22 kilometres of sweeping, unspoilt beachfront which is safe for swimming and ideal for surfing and fishing.
For the fishing enthusiast, there is bay and open surf fishing at Waratah Bay, boating at Corner Inlet and Shallow Inlet or river fishing at Tarwin. Boat ramps are located at Waratah Bay, Yanakie, Walkerville and Shallow Inlet. The kiosk stocks all your bait and tackle needs. Right on the beach, the caravan park is conveniently located for surfers, with the home of the windsurfer only five minutes away at Shallow Inlet. Boogey boards may be hired from the kiosk for a fun-filled frolic in the surf.
